Doctoral Program (PhD)

PhD Program of the Indian Institute of Management Visakhapatnam (IIMV) is a research-intensive doctoral program aimed at imparting high-quality training in research.
IIMV’s PhD program aims primarily at training prospective scholars to excel in their chosen areas of research through high-quality publications. This program would also prepare scholars to be highly skilled teachers.
The normal duration of the program is five years, comprising one year of course work, a comprehensive examination and thesis work consisting of a thesis proposal defence; and a final thesis evaluation and defence.
Collaboration between faculty members and students is the hallmark of this Program. The faculty members at IIMV are adept in research and publishing, providing a conducive environment for prospective scholars to find areas of interest from a rich and diverse bouquet of management themes.
